Ainola is a historic lakeside property in Korpilahti, Central Finland, where we are carefully restoring a historic place to stay on the shores of Lake Päijänne.
About the event
Our vision is to restore this beautiful 1885 house into welcoming guest accommodation that celebrates Finnish hospitality, thoughtful design and the slower pace of life found in the Finnish Lakeland. Whether visitors are searching for a bed and breakfast, a guest house, boutique accommodation or simply a peaceful place to stay near Jyväskylä, our aim is the same, to create somewhere guests will genuinely look forward to returning to.
While Ainola is being restored, we are welcoming guests to neighbouring Aimola, via Airbnb, allowing visitors to experience the setting, explore Korpilahti and become part of Ainola’s story as the project continues.
For us, this is more than a renovation. It is the careful revival of a historic property that has long been part of the local community. We are preserving its character while creating warm, comfortable accommodation that feels authentic, relaxed and unmistakably Finnish.
